Break a sweat for a noble cause. What happens? Hunger Run is the annual charity running event organised by Hong Kong social enterprise Foodsport. How does it work? Every calorie you burn during the run will be transformed into food donations, benefitting the J Life Inclusive Community Centre. This organisation provides vital food support and care to underprivileged families residing in the Sham Shui Po district. Proceeds from the event will be allocated to support the FoodSport Foundation's Food Assistance and Community Sports Development programs. Schedule 2025 The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 12, at the Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Promenade. Note that this area suffered significant damage in Typhoon Ragasa. Highlights 2025 This year’s edition marks a milestone: it's the event’s 10th anniversary. This year's theme is “Fresh and Zesty”. From 9–12 October, MCPOne will also host the Fresh & Zesty Carnival, featuring free healthy food and drinks for participants and interactive games. After the race, free shuttle buses will take runners directly to MCPOne or Po Lam MTR Station. Last year, Hunger Run adopted another fun theme: cha chaan teng, the iconic Hong Kong style teahouses you know and love.
