Founded in 2000, the Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival showcases features, documentaries and short films that illustrate the diversity of Jewish life and culture. Since its inception, the festival has screened hundreds of films from around the world. Schedule 2025 Now in its 25th year, the Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival will screen films at Golden Scene Cinema in Kennedy Town and Emperor Cinemas (Entertainment Building) in Central. Here are a couple of highlights: On November 9 at 6 p.m., Elie Wiesel: Soul on Fire screens at Golden Scene Cinema. The 2024 documentary traces the Nobel Peace Prize laureate’s journey, blending Wiesel’s own words with rare archives, interviews, and animation. On November 16 at 1 p.m., The Stamp Thief screens at Golden Scene Cinema. The 2025 documentary follows former Seinfeld producer Gary Gilbert as he uncovers a Nazi officer’s theft of stamp collections from Holocaust victims. See the full schedule of films here.
