What happens?
Experience top-notch international and local musical performances at various stages across Freespace, Art Park, Wonderland, M+, and Lau Bak Livehouse.
The festival features over a hundred jazz musicians from around the world, offering a mix of ticketed and free performances. It is Hong Kong’s premier jazz festival.

This year offers a mix of pop and jazz talent. Highlights for ticketed events include performances by cross-generational piano duo Echoes Across Eras on November 6 , Marf and Winka from COLLAR on November 7, Ian from MIRROR on November 8, and the acclaimed Joe Webb Trio on November 9 with more line up announcements still to come.

Expect everything from classic jazz and Afrobeat to hip hop fusion and experimental sounds with a dynamic mix of international and local acts, such as:

– Joao Mascarenhas & Friends (Brazil)
– Kim Oki (Korea)
– Otomo Yoshihide Guitar Solo (Japan)
– Mindfreakkk (Thailand)
Plus Hong Kong favourites like Eugene Pao, Freeman Lok Septet, Patrick Lui Jazz Orchestra, and the genre-blending Fountain x Kekkaishi x Gold Mountain.
Past years
The 2024 lineup covered a broad range of jazz styles. Performers included legendary musician Herbie Hancock, winner of 14 Grammy Awards and an Oscar, 21 year-old Indonesian jazz pianist Joey Alexander, and French trio Rémi Panossian Trio.
Local highlights included Ted Lo Trio and the Patrick Lui Jazz Orchestra and RubberBand.
Other activities
The festival typically includes free outdoor performances, jazz workshops, and a food and beverage market at various locations such as Great Lawn, Harbourside Lawn, and Freespace. Notable acts from last year included:
- Kinga Głyk: A Polish bassist recognized in JAZZ TOP and BLUES TOP surveys.
- Soccer96: A UK duo with Daniel Leavers, Maxwell Hallett, and Eddy Lupaka.
- Richiman and Groove Nice: A Korean band offering American-style blues.
- RS5pb: A Japanese band led by trumpeter Shinpei Ruike.
- Pakshee: An Indian band known for its blend of Jazz, Funk, Pop, and Rock.

Tickets 2025
Tickets went on sale on September 29 online, and on September 30 in person at the Xiqu Centre.
