Tune in for six weeks of art, performance, and hands-on fun, overlapping with Hong Kong Art Month (March).
What happens?
WestK FunFest is a six-week festival featuring a variety of interactive performances, outdoor art installations, theatre experiences, and workshops.
Held across the West Kowloon Cultural District, the festival includes contributions from independent artists and arts groups from Hong Kong, Australia, Belgium, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and more.
Events range from large-scale visual art displays to smaller, hands-on activities designed for families.
Highlights 2026
Head to the Harbourside East Lawn at Art Park to check out a giant cat nap zone with Air Giants – The Cats that Slept for a Thousand Years. This free outdoor installation features a family of three enormous inflatable robotic cats, up to 10 metres long, who snooze, twitch and purr when you stroke or lean against them.
This installation was created by UK art studio Air Giants and expanded specially for WestK (from one cat to two plus a kitten).
Illumination and opening hours are 2 to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 12 to 8 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
