Stanley Plaza Christmas Market

10:00am – 9:00pm
Free

The annual Stanley Plaza Seaside Christmas Market is one of the biggest Christmas markets in Hong Kong.

Now in its fifth year, the market is doing a really unique theme for 2019, titled “Christmas Happy Chemistry”!

The piazza of the lovely Stanley Plaza will be decorated like a full blown science laboratory for the event. More than 50 booths and merchants will be selling great items for Christmas gifts, in addition to lots of food, drink, and entertainment.

This year the market has extended its dates and will run for the first three weekends in December. The market is open until 9pm on those weekends, giving you many opportunities to head down to Stanley for shopping.

It promises to be a beautiful day out in Stanley, with all the Christmas lights sparkling, and a festive spirit in the air.

The easiest way to get to Stanley is by bus, on a scenic but windy road that traverses the hills down to the southside of Hong Kong Island.

Many buses leave Exchange Square in Central for Stanley, with Bus 6 and Bus 6X being the most frequent and convenient.

You can also refer to the Stanley Plaza transportation guide for more bus routes from other parts of Hong Kong.

Before you go, be sure to read our Stanley Area Guide for more info on what else to see and do in this quaint seaside town. Get more information about where to eat and drink, and places to rest your head if you choose to spend a night. You can also check out the best of Hong Kong and Stanley with this aptly-named tour.
