If you happen to be on the south side of Hong Kong Island in February, you’re sure to love the sight of dozens of competitors racing their way through the emerald green South China Sea. Hong Kong Race Week is the premier sailing event in Hong Kong, and a main fixture in the international youth dinghy scene.
Run by the Hong Kong Sailing Federation in conjunction with co-organiser the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, the race starts at the Yacht Club’s Middle Island facility. Competitors will navigate four race courses in the areas of Middle Island, Repulse Bay, Deep Water Bay, Stanley, Tai Tam and Beaufort. The regatta consists of a single series of races for each class of boat.
