Making a trip to Disneyland is at the top of every child’s wishlist, and Hong Kong Disneyland does not disappoint. With all of the rides and characters that have been loved for decades, plus one-of-a-kind rides and experiences that you can’t find anywhere else, it attracts millions of visitors a year. This is the biggest theme park in Hong Kong, but actually the smallest Disneyland in the world. But this has its benefits—--a smaller theme park is easier to navigate, with smaller crowds, meaning you won’t get so exhausted, or spend hours lining up. Despite its smaller size, there is so much to see and do at Hong Kong Disneyland that the 2-Day Pass is very popular. Located on a picturesque bay, surrounded by the lush mountains of Lantau Island, Disneyland is easily reached by MTR. First you have to travel to Sunny Bay Station on the Tung Chung Line, and then switch to the designated Disneyland Resort Line. The trip from Sunny Bay to Disneyland takes just 6 minutes, in a cute Mickey-themed train. Navigating the park The park has seven main areas, three of which were first launched exclusively in Hong Kong: Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch, and Mystic Point. You first enter the park at Main Street, U.S.A., where visitors step back in time to small-town America at the turn of the 19th century. This is also where you board the Disneyland Railroad, a inner-park train which transports you to Adventureland—--the largest of all Disney Adventurelands. Next up is Fantasyland, with classic rides such as the Cinderella Carousel, the Mad Hatter Tea Cups, and It’s a Small World, guaranteed to make any parent melt with nostalgia. The Railroad then heads to Tomorrowland, where you can ride Hyperspace Mountain, and come face to face with Iron Man. The newer rides at Toy Story Land and the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars at Grizzly Gulch are really popular, and Mystic Manor is the only one of its kind in the world, so be sure not to miss it. There are so many events and shows taking place throughout the park that you’re bound to catch a few, whether it’s Moana, the Lion King or Jedi Training. And every night at 8pm is the “Paint The Night Parade”, an incredible LED illumination show which travels through the park. Ticket prices One-day tickets for adults are and for children, with the option to add on a meal combo offer. If you need more than a day, the “2-Day Fun” Special Package is for adults and for children, and can be used for any two days within a seven day period. Accessibility Wheelchairs, as well as strollers, are available for rent at the Disneyland Fire Department next to City Hall in Main Street, U.S.A. Town Square.
