Tai Po Farmer’s Market is a farmers markets that takes place every Sunday in Tai Po.

With more than 30 stalls, the market claims to be one of the biggest in Hong Kong. The heritage of the market goes back to an early farmers’ market called “7-Village Crops Open Fair” in the late 1800s at which farmers from Taipo’s seven villages sold their produce.

A stele from the old market (located a stone’s throw away from the new one) still stands in front of the current market.
