True foodies are in for a treat in March, with the annual Taste Hong Kong event. Held at the Central Harbourfront Event Space, with the skyscrapers of Central above and the ever-beautiful Victoria Harbour below, this open-air gastronomical celebration offers four days of eating, drinking, and entertainment.
This year’s lineup features 12 of Hong Kong’s best restaurants and master chefs, each serving up to four dishes, including one that was exclusively created for the event, as well as one ‘Icon Dish’ that the establishment is known for.
The dishes are served on small plates, allowing you to create your dream menu and sample a wide variety of flavours and cuisines. This year you can enjoy Vietnamese, Japanese, Italian, Greek, Cantonese, and Nordic, to name a few.
During the four-day event, there are six sessions, each lasting five to six hours. You can purchase a ticket for one session, or more, depending on how much you intend to indulge.
There are a variety of tickets to choose from, ranging from General Entry to VIP, but all tickets include access to all the restaurants. Dishes start at just HK$50.00, with some Icon Dishes going up to HK$140.00.
In addition to the fabulous feeding, there will be live demonstrations by chefs, wine and whisky tastings, cocktail pairings, live music, and a Gourmet Market selling goods from dozens of local artisan producers.
This is also a family-friendly affair, as children 16 and under get free entry, and there are fun activities and shows for the kids to enjoy.
