Pride Run

Pride Run Hong Kong is back. This is Hong Kong’s first and only formally recognised LGBTQI+ running event, celebrating fitness, friendship, diversity, and acceptance.

What happens

Pride Run Hong Kong is an annual event celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community through fitness. Open to all, it features trail runs and family-friendly hikes in the city’s scenic landscapes, fostering a spirit of togetherness and support for LGBTQI+ causes. With proceeds benefiting local charities, the event combines fun and fitness with a meaningful cause,

Schedule

The 2024 edition takes place on 8 December, 2024.

Participants can choose between a 9 km run and a 5 km family-friendly hike, both set in the scenic Aberdeen Country Park. The event welcomes runners and walkers of all paces and abilities, aiming to foster community spirit and inclusivity.

Participants can register online through the official event page. The entry fee includes a free T-shirt and a HK$100.00 Pirata Group dining voucher.
RACEBASE

All proceeds from the event will benefit local community organizations:

  • AIDS Concern: Established in 1990, AIDS Concern is dedicated to reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS and eliminating stigma for people living with HIV in Hong Kong.
  • Quarks: The first registered organization in Hong Kong led by and targeting transgender and gender-diverse youth, aiming to empower and connect local transgender youth.

How to get there

This event takes place in Aberdeen Country Park.

Take the MTR to Wong Chuk Hang Station (Exit A), then transfer to bus routes 71, 72, or 77 to reach Aberdeen Country Park.

Several bus routes, including 7, 70, 71, 72, 73, 76, and 77, service the Aberdeen area.
