Packed with interactive programmes and family-friendly activities, uncover the riches of Hong Kong’s many museums through Muse Fest.
What happens?
With 17 participating museums (basically all the municipal museums), Muse Fest is an effort by the city’s Leisure and Cultural Services Department to get Hongkongers to explore the many wonderful museums the city has to offer.
From the Hong Kong Space Museum to the Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery, various museums will be participating. Expect a wide variety of educational programmes, talks, and more, perfect for all in the family.
Schedule 2025
Muse Fest typically runs the entire month of November.
The theme this year is “Museum Anniversary”. Why? Well, six of Hong Kong’s public museums mark major anniversaries — it’s the 50th anniversary of the Hong Kong Museum of History and the 45th of the Space Museum.
Seventeen LCSD museums and art spaces will host over 100 programmes, from guided tours and workshops to special collaborations with local brands.
The festival opens with the Fun@Museum Carnival at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza on November 1–2, featuring more than 30 free activities such as art workshops, interactive games, food tastings, and live performances. Highlights include jumbo museum-themed installations, cyanotype and painting sessions, and a collaboration between the Space Museum and Maxims’ Cake.
