Highlights 2025
Art and craft
Get stuck into some DIY. The Gem Stone Art Picture Card DIY Class will be held on 8 November starting at 11 a.m. at the Japan Society of Hong Kong, located in North Point.
Led by Ms. Urabe Chieko, owner of Femina Jewellery Studio, participants will learn how to craft decorative picture cards using gemstone embellishments.

Martial arts
The Japanese Budo Festival will take place on 12 October 2025 from 11:00 to 13:00 at Jao Tsung-I Academy in Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon. Organised by the Japanese Martial Arts and Culture Association, the event invites martial artists from Hong Kong, Macao, and Japan to showcase traditional Japanese martial arts. Demonstrations include kenjutsu (Hokushin Ittō-ryū Genbukan), aikidō (Yūbukai), jōdō (Yōshinkan), jūjutsu (Ryūkyū Kobudō Hozonkai), and iaidō (Senzukudō).

Japanese language
The 14th International Symposium on Japanese Language Education and Japanese Studies will be held 22–23 November at HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho Community College, Causeway Bay.
Centred on the theme “Japanese Language Education and Japanese Studies in the Age of Generative AI”, the event features keynote speakers from Osaka University, OIST, and HKU, exploring how AI is reshaping the field.
