What to expect
The festival showcases various award-winning and under-the-radar films alike, both from Asia and around the world. It is reputedly the oldest LGBT film festival in the continent.
This year’s opening films are Taiwanese drama The Time of Huan Nan and The Queen of My Dreams, which traces the story of a Pakistani Canadian woman navigating her strained relationship with her parents after coming out as lesbian, while dealing with the sudden death of her father.
