If experimental music is your jam, don’t miss the Freespace Noise Fest at West Kowloon Cultural District.
What to expect
From July 24 to August 6, 2024, a new festival is coming to town: the Freespace Noise Fest at the West Kowloon Cultural District. The festival will feature performances by over 30 international and local acts.
The lineup features two weekends of non-stop free improvisation at The Room, delivering more than 20 performances across six days. Highlights include the finale double-bill at The Box, starring Japanese guitarist Yoshihide Otomo and Javanese duo Senyawa. See more information here.
There will also be free artist-sharing sessions led by cultural and media theorist Dr. François Mouillot (of Hong Kong Baptist University), along with an artist-led workshop led by Mexican artist Vica Pacheco. These sessions offer a unique chance to connect with artists and gain insights into their creative processes.
