Hong Kong may be better known for shopping and festivities, but the city is also a major creative hub in Asia. Art Central has become one of the most anticipated events in the arts community.
What happens?
Shining a spotlight on contemporary work coming out of the Asia Pacific region, and showcasing established artists across the globe, Art Central is a platform for more than 100 international galleries, from Tokyo, Taipei, Sydney and Seoul, to name just a few.
Though there is no doubt a strong focus on emerging Asian artists, you can also see works from Europe, South America, and North America, making it a dynamic and varied international art event. Art Central offers activities that are fun for the whole family, so if you are travelling with kids, let them express their inner artist in the kids’ areas.
Overall, this is a fantastic opportunity to see new works from Asia and around the globe.
