Dog-friendly cafés in Hong Kong to grab a coffee We all know there's one thing Hong Kong isn't short on -- coffee shops. And yes, all of them welcome your four-legged friends to join you for an early brew, something off their delicious brunch menu, or a happy hour cocktail. The Wan Chai branch is located in a quiet part of the Star Street Precinct and is a popular meeting spot for pooches and their owners. Meanwhile, the Mid-Levels location is situated at the top of the escalators and opens at 6:15 a.m. on weekdays, perfect for those early morning dog walkers or commuters. The menu also boasts nutrient rich smoothies, açaí bowls, brunch sandwiches, and their own unique take on some classic brunch items. This has been encouraged by the fact that they are very dog friendly. With seven branches across Hong Kong island, you have plenty of choice as to where to bring your four-legged friend. Pair superb in-house roasted coffee with homemade sourdough or a breakfast bowl, to kick off you and your pup's day. Dog-friendly bars in Hong Kong Maybe your pooch is more of a night owl than an early riser and prefers going out for sundowners with you. There's plenty of dog-friendly bars around, usually with a decent happy hour and some furry friends for your pooch to play with while you sink a cold one. Dog-friendly restaurants in Hong Kong Dog-friendly restaurants are definitely popular in HK these days and you can now find a decent spot in almost every neighborhood to bring your doggo with you for lunch or dinner. Note that most dog-friendly restaurants won't actually allow dogs inside the premises and outdoor seats get snapped up quickly, so make a booking where possible to avoid disappointment. Tsuen Wan is home to their biggest space and boasts a glorious terrace with sea views and plenty of space for your doggos to roam around while you indulge in breakfast, lunch, dinner, or happy hour. With items such as adobo popcorn chicken, birria tacos, and spicy coconut noodles, the menu has been designed for sharing and is the perfect introduction to Filipino food if you’ve never tried it before. Co-founder, Jen Balisi is a huge dog lover, so of course her restaurant is very dog friendly. Dog treats are readily available and the venue regularly hosts block pawtys to socialize your pooch while you enjoy an ice cold Red Horse Beer or specialty crafted cocktail. Dough Bros Multiple locations (and counting) 11 a.m. -10:30 p.m. (some locations open later on weekends) View website Popping up in almost every district across Hong Kong, local establishment Dough Bros have won fans with their simple yet delicious menu of sourdough pizzas and ridiculously morish donuts. Keep an eye on their Instagram as they are always trying new mouth-watering flavors to fill their donuts with. Almost all their establishments encourage you to bring your furry friend with you while you grab a quick bite or wait for your takeaway and even offer homemade doggie donut treats for your pooch. The eatery and bar on Lamma island is giving people a mouthwatering reason to get on the ferry and explore their delicious Mediterranean menu. Split into four areas, Terracotta has space for you to enjoy the sunset over a cocktail, share a meal with friends, or even host a private dinner party. All areas boast epic sea views and face the sunset so dinner time is definitely prime time (reservations are highly recommended). Dogs are welcome, just remember that you can only take your dog on the slow ferry to Lamma so check the timetable before you plan your day.
