The World Grand Prix, one of the premier events on the World Snooker Tour, returns to Hong Kong.
What to expect
First staged in Wales in 2015, the World Grand Prix has established itself as one of the premier events on the snooker calendar, featuring the top 32 players of each season competing for ranking points and a share of the £700,000 (approximately HK$7,280,000.00) prize fund.
In 2026, the tournament will return to Hong Kong for its second edition, bringing the very best of professional snooker to Kai Tak Stadium.
Fans can look forward to a new best‑of‑nine format in the opening rounds, with legends such as Neil Robertson, Judd Trump, Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, and Shaun Murphy headlining. A record ten Chinese players, including Ding Junhui, Zhao Xintong, and Zhou Yuelong, will also take part.
Highlights
On February 7 and 8, Stephen Hendry will face Hong Kong star Marco Fu, followed by team matches with young players from the Hong Kong Billiard Sports Academy.

Schedule
Each day features two sessions, beginning at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The tournament builds across the week, with early‑round matches leading into the semi‑finals and culminating in the championship final on Sunday, February 8.

How to get there
The Kai Tak Stadium at Kai Tak Sports Park is located in Kowloon, easily accessible by public transport.
- By MTR: Take the Tuen Ma Line to Kai Tak Station. From Exit A, it’s about a 10‑minute walk to the Sports Park.
- By Bus/Minibus: Multiple bus routes serve the Kai Tak area, including services from Kowloon City, Kwun Tong, and Mong Kok. Alight at stops near Shing Kai Road or Concorde Road for the shortest walk.
