WestK FunFest

Six weeks of art, performance, and hands-on fun, overlapping with Hong Kong Art Month (March).

What happens?

WestK FunFest is a six-week festival featuring a variety of interactive performances, outdoor art installations, theatre experiences, and workshops. Held across the West Kowloon Cultural District, the festival includes contributions from artists and arts groups from Hong Kong, Australia, Belgium, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other countries. Events range from large-scale visual art displays to smaller, hands-on activities designed for families.

Schedule 2025

Week 1 (March 21 – March 27)

• Pollinator by Alex Schweder and Ward Shelley opens to the public.
• Outdoor art installations set up across the district.
• Family-friendly theatre performances take place daily.

Week 2 (March 28 – April 3)

• Carnival of the Animals, a multimedia circus performance by Circa, begins its run.
• Live music and dance performances are scheduled in outdoor and indoor venues.
• Storytelling and puppet theatre sessions are available for younger audiences.

Week 3 (April 4 – April 10)

• La bulle by CORPUS is staged at various outdoor locations.
• Workshops in visual arts, movement, and music take place throughout the week.
• Film screenings include animated shorts, followed by discussions with filmmakers.

Weeks 4–6 (April 11 – April 27)

• Outdoor art and craft activities are available on weekends.
• Theatre performances and pop-up shows continue across the festival grounds.
• The festival ends with performances and installations on the final weekend.
