If you’re drawn to the disappearing glow of old Hong Kong neon, or fascinated by the intersection of craft and code, this one’s for you.
What to expect

Perched on the edge of Victoria Harbour, The Lighthouse is the latest edition of the ARTS‧TECH Exhibition series—a multi-sensory encounter that merges Hong Kong’s neon-lit past (and lingering present) with immersive technology.
Curated by Joel Kwong and created in collaboration with media artist Keith Lam, this site-specific installation transforms Harbour City’s Ocean Terminal Deck into a space of memory and movement. Expect glowing neon sculptures, soundscapes shaped by tides and wind, and interactive works that speak to the city’s ever-evolving relationship with its harbourfront.
Schedule 2025
The exhibition goes from June 14 to July 13, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Highlights
Media artist Keith Lam and pianist Daniel Chu will bring neon and melody together in two live sessions on June 14 that translate harbour footage into sound.
Additionally, there will be a screening of the documentary Cape D’Aguilar, offering a glimpse into the city’s early lighthouses. There will also be a talk after with researcher Richard Wong.
Artist and docent-led tours will be offered in Cantonese and English.
