The “small MUJI” exhibition lands in Hong Kong this October, blending MUJI’s minimalist spirit with Tatsuya Tanaka’s imaginative miniature art.
What to expect
Neatly stacked stationery aisles, pared-back travel essentials, and even a surprisingly solid skincare and makeup line — MUJI, short for Mujirushi Ryōhin, is an icon. This exhibition, opening at MUJI Windsor House in Causeway Bay, offers an opportunity to see it anew.
Curated by celebrated Japanese miniature photographer and Mitate artist Tatsuya Tanaka, step into a world of tiny wonders at the “small MUJI” miniature art exhibition. This exhibition transforms everyday MUJI items into imaginative, story-rich dioramas. It’s rooted in MUJI’s philosophy of minimalist design and purposeful living.
Having toured cities like Helsinki, Osaka, Singapore, Beijing, and New York, the Hong Kong edition will feature exclusive new pieces and local cultural touches.
Highlights
There will be 16 miniature sets, plus 2 brand-new creations made just for Hong Kong. Tatsuya Tanaka himself will also hold a special sharing and book-signing session.
