To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hong Kong International Film Festival, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra presents In the Mood for Love in Concert, screened in full and accompanied by a live orchestra performance.
What to expect
Wong Kar‑wai’s iconic film, starring Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung, is often celebrated for its lush cinematography, timeless style, and haunting portrayal of longing and restraint. However, this special limited programme places the spotlight on the unforgettable soundtrack of the film.
From Shigeru Umebayashi’s haunting Yumeji’s Theme to Nat King Cole’s smooth ballads, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the entire score live under the baton of award‑winning conductor Joshua Tan.
