Calling all soccer fans: the HKFC Standard Chartered Soccer Sevens is back and bigger than ever– with a women’s edition to boot.
What happens?
The HKFC Standard Chartered Soccer Sevens is a major sports event hosted by the Hong Kong Football Club. It attracts young soccer clubs from across Europe.
Renowned for its distinctive seven-a-side format, matches are fast-paced, and the event serves as an important platform for emerging talents to gain international exposure.
Expect to see Premier League giants such as Aston Villa, West Ham, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham, and Leicester City, in addition to local favourites such as Tai Po and Yau Yee League Select.
Past events
2024 was especially noteworthy as it marked the 25th anniversary of the HKFC Soccer Sevens. To celebrate, an inaugural Women’s Tournament was launched — about time, we think! Eight women’s teams from Hong Kong and Macau competed.

The Sevens take place at the Hong Kong Football Club, located on 3 Sports Road, Happy Valley.
