The city’s biggest literature event is back!
What to expect
The Hong Kong Book Fair is the largest event of its kind in Hong Kong. Held since 1990, this year’s edition will take over the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from July 17 to 23, 2024.
This year’s theme is “Film and Television Literature”. Six Film and Television Literature writers, namely, Joyce Chan, Chiang Hiu Mei, Law Kar, Erica Li, Raymond To and Norris Wong will be featured.
In addition, you can expect a stellar lineup of both regional and international writers, including best-selling Korean author Kim Ho-Yeon and award-winning Thai writer Narisapongse Rakwattananont.
The book fair will open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, except for the final day, which ends at 5 p.m.

Here’s where to buy tickets online.
The ticket price for adults is HK$30.00 and HK$10.00 for children. Children under the age of three and elderly above the age of 65 can enter for free.
Pro Tip: The HKTDC Sports and Leisure Expo and HKTDC World of Snacks will be running concurrently. You only need one ticket to access all three fairs.
