The Four Peaks Race is one of Hong Kong’s toughest and most unique multi‑sport challenges, combining sailing, kayaking, and trail running.
What happens?
Organised annually by the Aberdeen Boat Club since 1985, the Four Peaks Race pushes teams to their limits with a punishing combination of sailing, running and kayaking. Teams navigate a about 170km across land and sea, with runners kayaking ashore to conquer four formidable peaks: Ma On Shan (702m), Violet Hill (433m), Lantau Peak (934m), and Mount Stenhouse (353m).
With a total ascent of around 2,300 metres and the average team taking 24 hours to finish, the race is the ultimate test of stamina and seamanship.
