Sink your teeth into HKIFF Cine Fan’s autumn programme.
What to expect
This season, Cine Fan delves into the rich, blood-soaked legacy of vampire cinema. For centuries, the mythical vampire has haunted the human imagination, and some of the most iconic moments in film history have been shaped by its enduring allure.
Whether you’re drawn to Gothic horror, feminist reimaginings or satirical twists, this film programme offers a cinematic journey through the many faces of the vampire.
Highlights
From the classics like Nosferatu and Dracula to modern reboots by Tony Scott and Guillermo del Toro, this programme traces the vampire’s many lives.
With feminist and queer tales such as Carmilla and The Hunger, it shows how these stories continually evolve while mirroring the fears and desires of their age.
