Showcasing five original productions that boldly experiment with form and aesthetics, the Black Box Chinese Opera Festival presents works from across a vibrant spectrum of regional genres and styles. It’s an eye-opening experience for both opera lovers and curious newcomers.

Highlights
The festival is now in its 8th year.
This year’s program brings together a trio of award-winning Cantonese opera works from the Xiqu Centre and two acclaimed Kunqu productions by leading troupes from the Mainland. All the operas are performed in Cantonese or regional languages, with Chinese and English subtitles.
Tickets
Tickets are HK$280.00 and are available online from Cityline or from the Cityline booking hotline at (852) 2111-5333. They can also be purchased in person at the Xiqu Centre Ticket Office.
