What happens?
The festival has built a reputation as a cultural bridge, introducing audiences to the vibrant stories, traditions, and perspectives of ASEAN nations. Past editions have featured award‑winning films, such as Garin Nugroho’s Samsara, Ahmet Katiksiz’s Champion and Jack Neo’s Long Long Time Ago.
Beyond the screenings, the festival has included free public programming and post-screening dialogues.
Highlights 2026
This year’s films include After the Curfew, Turn Left Turn Right, and Leonor Will Never Die, among others.
How to get there
Screenings have previously taken place at a variety of cultural venues across the city, such as M+ Cinema, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, Asia Society Hong Kong Center, Hong Kong Arts Centre, and Tai Kwun.
