Most hotels in Hong Kong start check-in from 3:00 p.m., so if your flight arrives in the morning, you won’t be able to check in. Although not advertised, if the hotel has a 24-hour front desk and you contact them in advance, an early check-in can usually be arranged. Here are six of our favourite HK hotels with a 24-hour front desk option.
Hotel Jen
508 Queen’s Road West, Sai Wan, Hong KongFrom HK$1,056.00/night

Hotel Jen is part of the Shangri-La group and it offers the same renowned level of attention to detail when it comes to taking care of its guests. Targeted at “independently-minded” travellers, the hotel aims to be flexible and tries to accommodate early check-in where possible when contacted ahead of arrival.
Located in the heart of Western Central, staying at Hotel Jen means that you can easily access bars, restaurants and tourist attractions as well as buses, trams, ferries, taxi’s and the MTR. The hotel also boasts a decent rooftop pool with sweeping views of the harbour and Cafe Malacca, which serves some of the area’s most authentic Malaysian cuisine.
Salisbury YMCA
41 Salisbury Road, Hong KongFrom HK$2,200.00/night
Book online
Geared towards travellers passing through at all hours of the day, the Salisbury YMCA has a 24 hour front desk. So as long as you let the hotel know your estimated arrival ahead of time, they should be able to offer you an early check-in option.
The majority of the rooms are fairly basic but the hotel itself is situated right across from Victoria harbour so a few select rooms offer stunning views and its location means it’s perfectly situated to explore both Kowloon and the Hong Kong Island side.
Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour
1 North Point Estate Lane, North Point, HKFrom HK$1,760.00/night

This hotel is also home to Meeting Suite, a flexible workspace.
World of Hyatt members can enjoy an early check-in (subject to availability) and the hotel is extremely accommodating when it comes to assisting non-members with check-in requests, as long as they are provided with a good amount of notice.
The Fullerton Ocean Park
3 Ocean Drive, Aberdeen, Hong KongFrom HK$2,080.00/night
Book online
The Fullerton Ocean Park is relatively new on the HK hotel scene. Situated away from the CBD and right next to two of HK’s top theme parks (Ocean Park and Water World), it is definitely geared more towards families rather than couple or solo travellers. While it doesn’t list early check-in as a feature, it has a 24-hour front desk. If you give them advanced notice of your arrival time, there will be some flexibility with their check-in window.
The Fullerton allows visitors to experience a different side of HK with sweeping views of the island’s southside’s sea and mountains. Its location also means it’s easier for guests to travel to beaches and hiking trails if you’re looking for a break from city life.
